Avant guard architecture, ambitious gastronomy and wines that represent the wine making soul from Ribera del Duero.
Cepa 21’s modern architecture represents our cellar’s personality and advances the character of our wines. A unique creation with a design characterised by minimalism and efficiency. Cepa 21’s modern and functional construction has been created by BSA Arquitectura and is nowadays a model of contemporaneity in Castilla y León.
Our facilities’ structure encompasses not only production halls but also reception, visitors’ areas and offices. From its open concept interior, as well as from its terrace we can have the pleasure of spectacular views of a unique surrounding that overflows with endless vineyards.
The whole cellar is equipped with top technology to maximise quality in all of its processes.
Bodegas Cepa 21’s objective is to produce harmonious top quality wines that exhibit a unique personality. For this purpose, our fields are carefully selected and sophisticated wine making procedures are implemented.
Most of the 50 hectares presently owned by Bodegas Cepa 21 are around our cellar. Our vineyards’ altitude ranges from 750 until 900 meters. Between the lowest and the highest points there are different terroirs and micro-climates. These are essential instruments to design of our wines.
Bodegas Cepa 21 is the most innovative project by the third generation in the Moro family, which has been dedicated to the wine industry for over a century. The project was born almost 20 years ago. It was accompanied by a transgressing and modern spirit, not only for its architecture, but also because of a wine making style that sought the most refreshing version of Ribera del Duero wines.
Our wines, Hito Rosado, Hito, Cepa 21 Malabrigo and Horcajo are the expression of the coldest terroir in the region because of their North facing vineyards. Bodegas Cepa 21 elaborates wine according to our altitude-varying fields.
