Cepa 21’s most exclusive red wine
La Pelliza takes its name from the vintage work jacket worn by José Moro’s father—a garment deeply tied to the vineyard, hard work, and the passage of time. A symbol of origins and of understanding Ribera del Duero from its most authentic roots, it now inspires one of Cepa 21's most exclusive creations, rooted in the viticultural philosophy of past generations.
Tasting notes
The nose highlights floral notes, violets, and red and black fruits, accompanied by a fine, elegant toast that brings depth and harmony. On the palate, it showcases polished tannins, great volume, and a silky texture, with a balanced and persistent finish that reflects the personality and history of its vineyard.
Winemaking
Fermented in French oak vats, including alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and aging for a period of 14 to 16 months.

It comes from a recovered old-vine plot located on a cool hillside, surrounded by ancient farmlands that were once vineyards. With over 90 years of history, this is a multi-varietal vineyard that reflects the vine's adaptation to the environment over time, resulting in a wine of great complexity.
