Hito 2018

Details of the harvest

The 2018 vegetative cycle began with an extraordinarily rainy April and May, which caused a slight delay in budding. The rainfall sat below the historical levels during the summer months, which helped to balance the cycle. Temperatures were very close to normal for
the region, except during the last stage of ripening when they were above average. This helped to bring the year to a close with optimum ripeness levels and great balance in the grapes.

Tasting notes

A very lively dark cherry red colour. Intense and honest on the nose, where the varietal aromas of the Tempranillo at its optimum point of ripeness predominate. Subtle hints of
ageing appear in the background as well-integrated spiced and toasted notes. In the mouth it has body and length, balanced acidity and good persistence.

Malabrigo 2015

Details of the harvest

Temperatures were higher than usual in the months of April until mid-July, which favoured a good development in the vegetative cycle. The occasional rainfalls in July helped to overcome the seasonal high temperatures. After the veraison, night temperatures dropped significantly while diurnal temperature variations averaged 25 Degrees Celsius. This helped the grape maturation and resulted in an extraordinarily good vintage.

Tasting notes

Intense cherry red colour very characteristic of this wine. The 2015 harvest is a full expression of intense aromas, great personality and subtle notes. The characteristics of
the Tempranillo that are expressed from this terroir in such a special manner meet the wineries expectations once again. On the palate its fullness and well-structured ripe tannins can be appreciated with a long finish.

Cepa21 2016

A wine with its roots set in the most authentic wine growing tradition of the Ribera del Duero, but with an innovative vocation. Elaborated with grapes from an ideal enclave, where exposure, climate and soil come together to produce a Tempranillo variety of excellent quality.

Details of the harvest

The cool temperatures at the start of spring, together with the abundant rains, slightly delayed the budding of the vines. Summer temperatures were slightly higher than usual, and the month of September was especially dry. Soil water reserves were sufficient to maintain optimum plant performance. As a result, this was a year with an abundant, balanced harvest of great ripeness.

Tasting notes

Dark cherry red in colour with ruby rims, this wine is intense and fruity on the nose, with the freshness of the vintage, but the complexity and elegance of the brand. It is mellow and
structured in the mouth, and once again reminiscent of ripe black fruit. The aftertaste is long and persistent.

Horcajo 2015

A wine 100% Tempranillo raised to the maximum expression.

Elegance and complexity define this first vintage from one of the most special plots of the winery, the Horcajo. A limited production with great aromatic potential.

Details of the harvest

Higher than average temperatures from April until the end of the month of July favoured a good vegetative cycle of the vine. Isolated rainfall in July helped overcome the high seasonal
temperatures. After the veraison, the influence of day and night temperature fluctuations favoured the early maturity of the grapes and as a result produced an extraordinary vintage.

Tasting notes

mouth it is powerful with strong silky and sweet tannins. The aftertaste is long and persistant.
