2018 has been an atypical vintage due to the extraordinarily high rainfall levels registered during the months of Abril and May which produced a slight delay in sprouting.
During the summer months the rainfall levels registered were below average which favored a balanced vegatitve cycle. Temperatures registered were close to average in the region, except during the last stages in the maduration process where temperatures were higher than average which favored the regularization of the plant achieving optimum maturity and a good balance.
Finca Resalso is the name of an historic vineyard that was planted in 1932, the year Emilio Moro was born. This is the name we have given to our young wine, which is made from grapes from our young vines.
Red cherry color with a violet rim. On the nose it is extraordinarily expressive and fresh, with unique characteristics from the Tempranillo variety. On the palate it shows well structured tannins and balanced acidity with a long, warm and lasting finish.
The wine macerates with its own skins for 12 days, so later the malolactic fermentation is made for 30 days in stainless steel deposits. Finally, it is aged in French oaks barrels.
